Scott Blair memorial table C2E2

Just a note - for anyone attending C2E2 in Chicago this upcoming weekend (April 26-28), there will be a table set up near the Artist Alley in memorial to my brother, Scott Blair. If anyone wants to leave flowers or take a picture and tag Scott, I'm sure he would have appreciated it.

RIP Scott Blair 1976-2024

We were waiting to come up with a formal post, but the news has already spread. Yesterday, April 5th, around midday, my brother Scott's (@scottblairart) journey of suffering with brain cancer came to an end and he passed away. It's been a long rough year, pretty close to the date last year when diagnosed. He meant the world to me and I owe a lot to him. I learned to draw watching him, and he got me into anime and Japanese cinema and there's so much to list, but a lot of who I am was because of / inspired by Scott. I will miss all of our movie chats and obscure references to Magic Christian (since we're like the only 2 people on the planet that seem to know about and love that film) and I'll miss seeing him pump out artwork, especially at his peak prices. He was a very good man and he didn't deserve this fate, so young at 48. He was the best brother I could have ever asked for.

On a side note, I'm trying to stay focused on coloring and finishing pieces through the end of the year. That said, I'll be out of town next week from Tuesday to Sunday (Dec 5-10) visiting my brother Scott. There's a window between treatments and he's feeling better, so it's a good window to visit. I've got the plane ticket, but need to come up with some extra funds for uber / cab and if he's well enough to go out and do anything. So I'm going to try to get the Cammy tag pencils in the next day or two and up for bid claim, as possibly a couple more pencils to claim, and/or at least open up a couple more slots for commissions. There's also a couple originals still available. They're on ebay and my online store, or message me directly. But yeah, I'd like to focus on coloring and finishing pieces for this month and the next.
