Sneak Peek at the new website design!

Tue Jun 10, 2008, 12:48 AM
I've been working on a new design for my website between working on commissions, and while I had an initial sketch to work with, it's been taking quite a bit longer than I anticipated! At long last tho, I've knocked out the overall design and headers, now I'm going in with tweaking and filling the pages with content, as well as setting up the Zen Cart for the store section. The finished website probably won't launch and replace the current design until later this week, but I went ahead and uploaded the gallery section of the site to make sure the php script works.

So since that's already uploaded and working perfectly, here's a sneak peek at what the new website will look like!

(The other sections aren't up so you'll just get the ol' 404 Not Found if you click on them).

Whatdya think, sirs?

That's really nice...I love the design and set-up of the thumbnails!
HTML is a pretty easy code to learn, and there's plenty of tutorials online to learn from. I use Microsoft Frontpage because it's pretty simple to use. I've tried Dreamweaver (the program everyone says is better), but I can't seem to make head or tails out of the program layout (like all of Macromedia's programs, ie Flash Studio). But you can even use something as simple as Notepad to write the code in if you can't get a hold of any of the other programs.

Just takes time, practice and a lot of trial and errors. Also, it's always good to look at the source codes of pages you like to pick up on what was done, or if anything to use as a template and simply come up with your own graphics.

Hope that helps!
