UPCOMING CONVENTION -- CONFIRMED!!! I just received confirmation that I'll have a table at the 2010 Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival here in Nashville from April 23rd to 25th! This year there's a load of special guests like Doug Bradley (Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies), Ashley Laurence (Kirsty from Hellraiser 1,2 + 6), Dee Snider (of the band Twisted Sister and the film Strangeland), Scout Taylor (the main chick from Rob Zombie's Halloween movies), Bill Mosely (from House of 1,000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Ken Foree (from the original Dawn of the Dead and TCM3) and more! I helped at Scott's table last year and it was a lot of fun! I'll be bringing new, never-before-seen artworks and prints to this show, mainly focusing on new Children of the Night, Alice in Wonderland, Zombie gals, devil girls, biker babes and tattooed babe pinups! Some might even be a little more horrific in nature! Oh, and I'll be having available for the first time, an 11x14 print of the Jessica in Screamland piece encountering Hellraiser's Pinhead, so you can get the print signed by both me AND Pinhead himself, Doug Bradley! How cool (and rare) would that be?! So be sure to come on out and stop by to say hello and get a first look at some hot pieces! Find out more info about the event at the official website -> [link]

Ok, here's the part that I'm sure noone will like. I'm still working on the backlog of commissions and have been trying to get about 5 a week done. For the next month, that number will probably be much lower. I'm going to be focusing April on coming up with new pieces and prints for the Tattoo + Horror con, as well as working on getting a few new things for CILM. I'm also going to be juggling in pieces for eBay for the few payments I still need to make. I am certain that I will be squeezing in commissions here and there throughout the month, but I don't know which ones and I don't know how many. I might be able to get more of them done than I think, but I just want to go ahead and lay it out there that April might not be a major fruitful month for commissions. With that said, I am planning on making May my major commission catch-up month. If all goes well in April, along with the Tattoo + Horror show and I have some leftover prints and originals to sell, then I'll have a cleared plate to focus on tackling the commission backlog. I know a lot of people having been waiting for much longer than I'd ever ask someone to wait, and that I'm sure many of them/you are disappointed with the broken promise of the turnaround time. I've really kinda ruined my reputation with commissions, and made some major stupid mistakes that allowed the queue to get so large. But I have learned some lessons with this. But just hang in there a little longer and if you are waiting on a commission and it doesn't get completed sometime in April, it will be completed in May. I know I'll get a lot of angry responses (which are surely deserved), but that's my plan that I'm sticking to. (And no, I can't afford to refund any commissions). One thing's for sure, when I do finally get them all caught up, I am never allowing the queue to exceed ten at a time.

Lastly, a lot of fine people have said very great words about Patrick Carlucci, who passed away recently after a long fight with an illness. I don't really have that much else to add to what they have said. I didn't get to ever meet him or really know him, we've only spoken back and forth through comments and notes and chatting sometimes on Facebook, but he was a pretty funny and awesome person. Most of all he was a damn good artist. I really dug his work and I wish most of all I could have met him. I wish the best for the his loved ones, and I miss him and his new art already. Hopefully, he's surrounded by the kinda buxom gals he drew so well

And as for the commissions, I think it's pretty easy to understand that you're dealing with a ton of things that really should come first, so you'll get no worry or rush from me. To know you've still got us all around is enough, because I, for one, know it'll be worth the wait!!
Good luck with the move and the cons!
As for Pat, Even only talking to pat a few times, he made you feel like you knew him for a long long long time. Ive also spoken to pat through DA and had the chance to meet up at Conventions . Every person Pat talked to, he made them feel so happy. He had the perfect personality. funny, smart, MEGA-FRIENDLY, confident...everything positive is what you can put in to the guy. you best be sure God or whoever is up there is enjoying every little bit of Pat's work. I will never stop saying this but Rest easy Pat and good luck Garret. I hope everything goes well and easy next month.
Do I want to see it? Sure! Am I anxious to see it? You betcha.
However I more than understand if Real Live TM is rearing it's ugly head. I'm happy to hear that you're getting things back on track for yourself, and hope that things work out so much better in the future.
Best of luck to you here and i hope things work out awesomely.
